As a data engineer at Materna
- You will manage high-performance data processing projects with a focus on the cloud for our customers from business and administration.
- You lead medium to large project teams and accompany your team in the position of architect to build data warehouses, lakes and applications.
- You support our customers with tenders and the planning of large-scale projects in order to lead their infrastructure ecosystems into the digital future.
- You act as a link between specialist departments, customers and your team.
- You contribute to the creation of sustainable data economies in which mission-critical business processes are implemented securely and stably.
This is what you bring with you
- Completed studies or training in computer science with a focus on data engineering, data science, AI, machine learning or a comparable degree
- Many years of professional experience as a project manager in the development of high-performance data processing systems, industry experience in the areas of public administration, mobility, health or industry are an advantage.
- Programming experience in common languages Java, Python or comparable programming languages
- (Open source) tool experience in setting up automated data processing processes, e.g. Apache Kafka, OpenAPI (RESTful API), Swagger, Apache Hadoop, PostgreSQL, elasticsearch, mongoDB, Hive, Kubernetes, Docker
- Knowledge of microservices, cloud, big data technologies, AI, machine learning or database technologies is an advantage

- Very good written and spoken German and good English skills
