Your role
In this role, you will report to the team leader of the System Team in the Platform department. You will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of our Windows-based systems infrastructure, both internally and for our clients.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT environment. This role requires a solid understanding of Windows operating systems, server technologies, and strong troubleshooting skills. You will be understanding the inner working of our clients specificities and apply Elca Cloud Services’ best practices and processes to provide a stable, dynamic, and secure environment.
In the team you will oversee:
- Implement and maintain various applications and services, with a focus on Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, IIS, WSUS, AD, PowerShell,…) and VMware.
- Design, configure, and optimize system architectures. within an organization's IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance to ensure availability, reliability, and security. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft Server environment, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Provide 2nd level support for systems-related issues, troubleshooting to resolution.
- Utilize automation tools such as Puppet, Rundeck and Terraform for streamlined operations.
- Develop scripts and workflows using PowerShell or other languages repetitive tasks and improve diagnostics and resolutions.
- Manage the entire lifecycle and roadmap of the Microsoft Stack to ensure that Microsoft systems are up-to-date, secured and supported.

- Vmware vSphere
- Backup solutions (Bacula, veeam)
- Active Directory (Group Policies, sites and services)
- MSSQL Servers
- Microsoft DNS server & Linux Bind
- IIS web server
- ADFS
- PowerShell
- File server DFS
- SSL Certificates management.
- Remote Desktop Services infrastructure.
- Windows Defender antivirus.
- Updates through WSUS.
- Network concepts and security (Firewall, Proxy, Load balancers, DNS/DHCP, VPNs).
- Monitoring and automation tools (Puppet, Terraform, CheckMK).
- IaaS on AWS/Azure experience is a big plus.
For Lausanne and Geneva, you have an excellent command of spoken and written French and English.
