At Danfoss Sensors GmbH, we're on the lookout for someone like you to take the reins as our new Product Engineering Manager (m/f/d). You'll be leading a Product Engineering team of 6 individuals, and a Process Engineering team of 10 individuals. The teams are expected to see strong growth in the coming years, by which you will continue in one of the functions. To succeed and enable our growth, we need you to develop the teams, work methods, and processes with effectiveness and execution as your objectives. This includes fostering an agile mindset, promoting proactiveness, execution excellence, and common ownership. You'll also play a crucial role in increasing collaboration across sites in Denmark, China, and Mexico.

This position will be available for start from end of 2024 only.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a talented team of engineers, providing support, coaching, and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
  • Ensure team execution and effectiveness within New Product Variant creation and Continues Improvement activities.
  • Oversee the maturation and efficiency of production lines.
  • Implementing improvements to enhance performance in engineering teams and on the line.
  • Facilitate project management activities using SCRUM methodology, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate cross functional problem solving, based on six-sigma and execution.
  • Align management strategies to ensure cohesive direction and effective execution across the organization.
  • Set clear goals and roadmaps for the team, fostering a culture of accountability and ownership.

Background & Skills

  • You have previous experience as a people manager within Process or Product Engineering, which is essential. Experience within line maturation is considered a strong plus.
  • Ideally, you hold a degree in Engineering, preferably in mechatronics, electronics, or mechanics.
  • You possess expertise in Six-sigma methodologies and product/process development processes, with reference to IATF 16949, which is highly valued.
  • You are comfortable working with specialists across various technical domains, with a knack for facilitating collaboration and driving results.
  • You have a proven ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, changing environment, driving organizational change and collaboration across teams and locations.
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English and German is required.
