Your role

Are you passionate about analyzing technical business requirements and developing proposals for change or enhancement on critical systems? Do you have strong analytical skills and attention to detail? Do you have a broad understanding of and interest in the area of technical infrastructure ?

We’re looking for an Technical Business Analyst with focus on middleware and infrastructure in the API management area to:

• understand the technical drivers for a requested change
• uncover the bigger picture behind a change request and constructively challenge requirements and prespecified solutions
• identify and manage the various stakeholders that have influence on or are influenced by our software product
• coordinate with up- and downstream interfaces/teams
• elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements by using different requirements engineering tools and practices
• collaborate with software and test engineers to assist in the implementation of user stories
• proactively manage project risks and work closely with Product owners and other stakeholders to address them
• learn and share the knowledge with the team member to constantly improve the ways of working
• document technical specifications and the product description for end users

Your team

You will be working in the API Management Infrastructure team located in Zurich. We are a dynamic, committed, expert team which is responsible for building and maintaining API Management Infrastructure for UBS applications. The infrastructure has high visibility in internal and external client offerings.

Your expertise

• university degree in finance/economics or computer sciences
• strong knowledge in infrastructure middleware products and processes
• experience in breaking down complex requirements into digestible and traceable work items in a structured and methodical way
• a minimum of three years of experience with IT business analyses in a technical field
• hands-on requirements engineering experience in an Agile environment (SCRUM/SAFe)
• experience in gathering and analyzing data to support decision making ("data literacy")
• experience in liaising with multiple internal business and IT partners
• some fundamental knowledge of RESTful API/services is a plus (optional)
• basic understanding of Java code is a plus (ability to read code and grasp what it is doing) (optional)
• experience in facilitating and driving issue resolution, acting responsibly and analytically in the event of stress or pressure
• strong communication skills (written and verbal), comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• experience in technical writing (plus)
• fluent in English (German is considered a plus)
